Second Week Teaching Practice
SECOND WEEK TEACHING PRACTICE
( 21/07/2025 - 26/07/2025 )
Last week was an eventful one at school, filled with various activities and learning experiences. Here's a recap of the highlights:
Monday, 21/07/2025: Moon Day Celebration
The week began with a special assembly to celebrate Moon Day. Students showcased their creativity through posters, speeches, quizzes, and working models. It was impressive to see the enthusiasm and talent on display. In the 3rd hour, I taught 8A about non-contact forces, which was observed by our concerned option teacher, Shyam sir. The feedback was invaluable, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to improve my teaching skills. In the 4th hour, Shyam sir observed my teammate Alaka's class, providing another chance for us to learn from each other.
Tuesday, 22/07/2025: Holiday
The school declared a holiday to mourn the passing of our respected ex-Chief Minister, VS Achudanandhan. It's a day to pay respects to a leader who left a lasting impact on our community.
Wednesday, 23/07/2025: Madhuram Malayalam Event
The Lions Club Ayoor organized an event to distribute Mathrubhoomi newspapers to the school as part of the Madhuram Malayalam program. The assembly was a great way to promote reading habits and a love for the Malayalam language. In the 2nd hour, I taught Chemistry to 9A, and it was wonderful to see the students engaged and interested in the subject.
Thursday, 24/07/2025: Holiday
Another day off allowed us to recharge and come back refreshed for the rest of the week.
Friday, 25/07/2025: Teaching and Substitution
I had classes with 9A and 9B, teaching Chemistry and covering important topics. In the 3rd hour, I had a substitution class with 8th standard, which required me to adapt quickly and deliver an engaging lesson. It was a great experience that tested my flexibility and teaching skills.
Saturday, 26/07/2025: Cargill War Remembrance
The assembly was conducted to commemorate the Cargill War, providing a historical perspective and promoting awareness among students. In the 2nd hour, I taught 9A, and in the 5th hour, I had a class with 8A, which was observed by our General teacher, Revathimiss. The feedback will be helpful in refining my teaching approach.
Overall, it was an eventful week with a mix of academic and extracurricular activities. I'm grateful for the opportunities to learn, teach, and grow as an educator.
