“From Science to Stage: A Week of Learning and Celebration”

“ Teaching, Teamwork , and Triumph”

During this week, I actively participated in both academic and co-curricular activities at school. I conducted several science lessons using innovative models of teaching such as the ICT Model and Inquiry Training Model to make learning more interactive and effective. Additionally, I took part in the school’s Clean and Green Program and the Arts Day Celebrations, which provided opportunities for community engagement, teamwork, and leadership. Each day brought new experiences that enriched my teaching and organizational skills.

23rd September 2025 (Tuesday)

I reached the school and signed in at 9:30 AM.

In the first hour, I handled class 9B and taught the concept Law of Conservation of Mass using the ICT model. Through a digital presentation, I demonstrated that the mass of reactants equals the mass of products during a chemical reaction, helping students visualize the concept clearly.

During the second hour, I had a substitution class in 8B, where I taught the concept of Gas Pressure, linking it to real-life examples such as inflated balloons and air syringes.

During the lunch break, I assisted in serving food to students, ensuring order and cooperation.

In the fifth hour, I took another substitution class in 9A, where I taught Balancing of Chemical Equations, encouraging students to balance simple reactions independently. In the seventh hour, I handled a substitution class in 9A again and introduced the concept of Oxidation through an engaging  Concept Attainment Model ,  which made learning more enjoyable. The school day concluded at 4:15PM.

24th September 2025 (Wednesday)

I signed in at 9:30 AM. During the second hour, I had a class in 9A, where I taught the topic Reduction using the Inquiry Training Model. Students actively participated by raising questions and analyzing examples to differentiate oxidation and reduction processes. In the afternoon session, our school conducted a Clean and Green School Program to promote environmental awareness. The activity aimed to create a sense of responsibility among students for maintaining cleanliness and protecting nature. Students participated in cleaning the campus and planting saplings, reinforcing the importance of sustainability and teamwork.

During the seventh and eighth hours, I handled substitution classes in 9B, where I taught the concepts of Balancing of Chemical Equations and Oxidation, following Lesson Plans 35 and 36 respectively. Students revised the reactions through practice worksheets and short oral quizzes.

25th & 26th September 2025 (Thursday & Friday)

On 25th and 26th September, our school conducted the Arts Day Celebration, which was a grand and colorful event. The program was held in the presence of the PTA members, who provided immense support and encouragement.

The celebrations featured a variety of performances such as Light Music, Kathaprasangam, Mimicry, Mohiniyattam, Mappilapattu, Arabic Songs, and Mono Act on the first day. The school atmosphere was filled with joy and excitement.

As part of the organizing team, we B.Ed. students were assigned various duties including stage management, assisting participants, maintaining discipline, and coordinating with teachers to ensure the smooth conduct of events.

On 26th September, the celebration continued with equal enthusiasm. The day included cultural items such as Oppana, Thiruvathira, Duff Muttu, Folk Dance, and Mime, showcasing students’ talents and cultural diversity. We successfully managed the stage activities, supported performers, and helped in maintaining order throughout the program.

Both days reflected the unity, creativity, and teamwork of the entire school community.

The week from 23rd to 26th September 2025 was a perfect blend of academic learning and co-curricular involvement. Teaching concepts like Law of Conservation of Mass, Reduction, and Oxidation using ICT and Inquiry-Based methods strengthened my pedagogical skills. The Clean and Green Program fostered a sense of environmental responsibility among students, while Arts Day enhanced school spirit and teamwork.

These experiences not only improved my teaching proficiency but also developed my organizational, communication, and collaborative abilities—helping me grow as a confident and reflective teacher.
