          SECOND WEEK TEACHING PRACTICE                       ( 21/07/2025 - 26/07/2025 ) Last week was an eventful one at school, filled with various activities and learning experiences. Here's a recap of the highlights: Monday, 21/07/2025: Moon Day Celebration The week began with a special assembly to celebrate Moon Day. Students showcased their creativity through posters, speeches, quizzes, and working models. It was impressive to see the enthusiasm and talent on display. In the 3rd hour, I taught 8A about non-contact forces, which was observed by our concerned option teacher, Shyam sir. The feedback was invaluable, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to improve my teaching skills.                       First Week Teaching Practice                         14/07/2025-18/07/2025              Our first week of teaching practice at Govt Jawahar HSS Ayoor, which took place from July 14, 2025, to July 18, 2025, was an enriching experience. As part of the Physical Science department, my teammate Alaka and I reported to school at 9:15 am and handed over the attendance register to HM and signed the register and allotted seat for us to sit and then we met us our mentor teacher, Honey Miss, who briefed us on our duties and distributed class portions. Then we were got familiar with the school's layout and facilities. Throughout the week, we explored the school's surroundings and got to know the staff and students better. Sports Day

                                SPORTS DAY                                19/07/2025 Our College Sports Day was held on July 19, 2025, and it was an exhilarating experience for all of us. The event featured various competitions, including shotput, cricket ball throw, and running events such as 100m, 200m, 400m, and relay races. Students enthusiastically participated in these events, showcasing their athletic prowess. I personally participated in the shotput and cricket ball throw events. The cricket ball throw was a thrilling competition, and I was thrilled to secure *3rd prize* in this event. The Sports Day was an excellent opportunity for students to demonstrate their skills, sportsmanship, and teamwork. Congratulations to all the winners and participants for making this event a success. It was an enjoyable day. 

Blood Donation Camp

                   BLOOD DONATION CAMP                   The blood donation camp was conducted on June 13, 2025, in association with NSS. The medical team from St Joseph's Mission Hospital, Anchal, participated in the event. The camp aimed to collect blood donations and promote awareness about the importance of blood donation. The event was successful, with a significant number of participants donating blood. The camp was well-organized and managed, ensuring a smooth and safe experience for all donors.

       Convocation Ceremony of Seniors                     The convocation ceremony of seniors was held on May 31, 2025. Preparations for the event were made in advance. The ceremony marked a significant milestone for the graduating class. It was a momentous occasion, celebrating the achievements of the seniors. The event was a memorable experience for all involved.     

READING DAY

                              READING DAY         Our college's Reading Day was a resounding success! 📚 Students and faculty came together to celebrate the joy of reading. It was wonderful to see everyone immersed in their favorite books. The event promoted a culture of reading and literacy, fostering a love for knowledge and learning.

Study Tour

                              STUDY TOUR               From April 3 to 8, our BEd students embarked on a study tour to Coorg, Chikmagalur, Belur, and Udupi in Karnataka. The trip was a wonderful experience, allowing us to explore new places and learn beyond the classroom. Accompanied by five staff members and our Principal, we enjoyed the scenic beauty and cultural richness of the destinations. The tour was a great opportunity to bond with peers and teachers, creating lasting memories. It was an enriching experience that combined academics with adventure, making it a memorable part of our BEd curriculum. The trip was truly enjoyable and insightful.              

COLLEGE DAY

                                COLLEGE DAY       Our college celebrated its day on March 28, 2025, with great enthusiasm. Jerin and Reeba anchored the program, which kicked off with a welcome speech by Principal Dr. G. Roy Sir. Union Chairperson Unnimaya delivered the presidential address, while Chairman Dr. V.K. Jayakumar Sir gave the inaugural address. The chief guest, Dr. Noufal R, Assistant Professor at Sree Narayana Guru Open University, added esteem to the occasion. Dr. Sabareesh Jayakumar revealed the title of the college magazine, and Akshara delivered an inspiring college theme address. The event featured various performances by each department, showcasing the students' talents. Overall, it was a memorable day filled with academic and cultural festivities, highlighting the college's commitment to excellence and creativity.

DRAMA FEST

                                  DRAMA FEST             On March 11, our school's BEd students organized a Drama Fest under the guidance of Priyatha Miss. The event featured five captivating dramas, each presented by a different department: English, Maths, Physical Science, Natural Science, and Social Science. The dramas were based on themes from the SCERT textbook, showcasing the students' creativity and understanding of the curriculum. The event was an excellent way to integrate learning with performance, promoting teamwork and artistic expression among the students. It was a memorable experience, highlighting the importance of drama in education and the students' talents.

ARTS DAY

                        ARTS DAY CELEBRATION                                        February 28                 The College Union, in association with DRUTA, conducted Arts Day on February 28, 2025. The event featured non-stage competitions like essay, story, and poem writing, as well as stage events such as light music, recitation, monoact, folksong, and patriotic song performances. Teacher trainees showcased their talents, with Shamnad winning Kalathilakam and Pooja S. winning Kalaprathibha. The event highlighted the students' creativity and artistic skills. It was a successful celebration of arts and talent. The winners were announced, and participants performed exceptionally well. Overall, it was a memorable day.

National Science Day

                        National Science Day                        February 28              The Physical Science department celebrated National Science Day on March 4 in association with "Synergy," the subject association. The event began with a scientific inauguration by our principal, setting the tone for the day's activities. Students showcased their talents through various programs, including a welcome dance, group dance, PPT presentation, debate competition, Rangoli competition, and a treasure hunt. These events highlighted the creativity and scientific aptitude of the participants. The celebration aimed to promote interest in science and recognize the importance of scientific inquiry.       INTERNATIONAL EPILEPSY AWARENESS                                    The Natural Science department observed International Epilepsy Awareness Day. Arathy anchored the event, and Aparna spoke about epilepsy. A role-play demonstrated first aid for epilepsy patients, emphasizing proper care and response. The program aimed to raise awareness and promote understanding of epilepsy. Arya delivered the vote of thanks.

Anju dressed as Sarojini Naidu, and a mime performance was also part of the celebration, honoring women's empowerment.

                  WORLD CANCER DAY                               February 4                 The English department observed World Cancer Day on February 4, 2025. Gloria and Stephy anchored the event, while Pratibha delivered the welcome speech. Unnimaya, Lekshmi, Haseena, Arjun, and Malavika spoke about different types of cancer, raising awareness about the disease. Ammulekshmi presented a poster, and a role-play depicted a live consultation with an oncologist, highlighting the importance of early detection and treatment. The program aimed to educate students about cancer prevention, symptoms, and treatment options, promoting a better understanding of the disease and its impact on individuals and communities.

        Road Safety Awareness Campaign                       January 31                   On January 31, 2025, a Road Safety Awareness Campaign was conducted at Anchal Market Junction. An awareness rally was held with placards highlighting road safety rules. Notices were distributed to promote safe driving practices and reduce accidents. The campaign aimed to educate the public and foster a culture of road safety.

BUDS SCHOOL AND ANGANAVADI VISIT

   Visit to Buds School and Anganawadi                       On January 31, 2025, we visited Buds School and Anganwadi in Alayamon panchayat. The differently-abled pupils showcased extraordinary talents, singing, playing keyboard, dancing, and reciting poems. We were surprised and impressed by their skills. We also interacted with little children at the nearby Anganwadi and organized programs for them. Gifts of books, colors, and cake brought joy to the children. The visit was a heartwarming experience, highlighting the talents and resilience of the children. It was indeed a wonderful day filled with learning and happiness.

MARTYRS’ DAY CELEBRATION

Revathy anchored the event, while Anupama and Thoufeeka delivered speeches honoring the nation's martyrs. A video presentation highlighted their sacrifices and contributions to India's freedom struggle, fostering patriotism and respect among students for the nation's heroes.

The event featured a speech, patriotic song, video presentation, and rally. The Principal spoke about the significance of the day, highlighting India's democratic values and constitutional principles. Students showcased their patriotism through various performances, honoring the nation's spirit.

Anamika anchored the event, while Shinu presented a poster. A role-play highlighted the importance of girls, emphasizing their empowerment and value. Joycy and Aswathy delivered speeches, advocating for girls' rights and education. The event aimed to promote awareness and support for girl child welfare.          International Day of Education Celebration                       The Physical Science department celebrated International Day of Education on January 24, 2025. The program began with an inaugural ceremony featuring a circuit lamp that glowed when water was applied. Jerin anchored the event, while Bhavyasena presented a poster. A highlight was the balloon bursting session, where Keerthy, Devika, Gopika, Pooja, and Alaka symbolically eradicated social evils through education. The event concluded with a pledge, where participants held lighting candles, emphasizing their commitment to education's transformative power. The celebration underscored education's role in combating societal issues and promoting positive change.

Suja anchored the event, while Anju and Pratibha sang a patriotic song. Arya delivered a speech highlighting Bose's contributions. A tribute dance honored his legacy. Prior to this, a poster making competition was held on January 22, where Physical Science department won the first prize. The celebration concluded with Haseena's vote of thanks. The event fostered patriotism and appreciation for Bose's role in India's freedom struggle, showcasing students' creativity and talent. It was a fitting tribute to his enduring legacy.
